Where we stay

Your Hotel in Rome

For your overnight stay in Rome we recommend the Hotel Canada, a family-run hotel and part of the Best Western chain. Hotel Canada is located in Via Vicenza within walking distance of Rome's Termini railway station and is one of the city's most comfortable and well-appointed hotels in its class.

Our Residence in the Val d'Orcia

Il Poggiolo is a restored eighteenth century inn with stunning views on the outskirts of San Quirico D'Orcia. It consists of eleven apartments of varying sizes, each boasting high quality queen or king sized bedding, cooking facilities, a fridge, bathroom with shower, telephone, satellite TV and a safe. There is a common breakfast room and kitchen, a swimming pool and laundry facilities.

Our Hotel in the Chianti

Hotel Belvedere situated in the heart of the Chianti at Castellina is a magnificent family-run hotel of 28 rooms, renowned for its authentic furniture in rustic Tuscan style, reminiscent of when the hotel was a large farmhouse with its own vineyards and olive groves. The rooms each have a private bathroom, high quality queen/king size bedding, satellite television and telephone. There is a large outdoor swimming pool in a beautiful garden with panoramic views of the Elsa Valley. The hotel offers a buffet-style breakfast and delicious dinners in the restaurant.

“Nothing in Italy is far from the beaten track but seeing this corner of Tuscany from the vantage point of one of its medieval towns in the Orcia valley was a detour which turned out to be the highlight of our European tour. Barry impressed us with his fluent Italian and his unfailing courtesy. Nothing was a trouble to him. His enjoyment came from seeing us fall in love with his beloved San Quirico. A rare treat indeed.”
